Independent European Daily Express (IEDE) reports daily on European institutions, multinational organisations and news from European capitals, including national news with a European impact.

The articles are based on our own reporting and on independent, reliable European sources. The site is managed and maintained by Dutch journalist Iede de Vries, a former senior editor of international news organisations.

Iede has been working in journalism and communications for over 40 years, as a reporter, editor and senior editor, at local, regional, national and international level.

He is often found in Brussels or Strasbourg and at other news events to report on them.
